Born in Aichi, Japan in 1985. After studying in the United Kingdom, Koji Shiouchi graduated from the Department of Visual Design, Faculty of Design, Kyoto Seika University. He is a creative director and artist, and the founder/CEO of Cattleyatokyo Inc.
In 2013, he founded the creative collective Cattleyatokyo™. Spanning art, design, fashion, music, food, and education, the collective develops cultural activities through art direction, graphic design, film, product design, installations, and other forms of expression, based on the concept of collective creativity.
Alongside his work with the collective, Shiouchi has also been active as an artist, presenting exhibitions under the Cattleyatokyo name as well as solo projects, including a solo exhibition at OIL by Bijutsu Techo. In June 2024, he was appointed Chief Creative Officer of Hanamaruki Foods Inc., and in December 2024, he became a council member of Kyoto Seika University.
In 2026, he presented the permanent site-specific art series Natural Artifacts at HAERA, a commercial complex in Sakae, Nagoya. Connecting nature, philosophy, and the memory of the city, the series creates a new perceptual experience within a commercial space.
